Ribes nigrum 'Titania'
Blackcurrant 'Titania' is a robust, reliable variety known for its very large, firm black berries borne on medium-length strings. Ripening from mid-July, the fruits are sweet and juicy with a traditional blackcurrant flavour, ideal for both culinary and fresh use.
This Swedish-bred variety is resistant to mildew and leaf diseases, making it a great low-maintenance choice for gardens or allotments. It’s particularly well-suited to UK conditions and performs best in full sun or partial shade, in any moderately fertile, well-drained soil.
'Titania' has a medium to vigorous growth habit and is self-fertile, so no pollination partner is needed.
