Flowers are not only good to look at: they can be used to add colour and flavour to a whole range of dishes. Crystallised rose petals, primroses and violets add a lovely touch to cakes; nasturtiums have a peppery flavour in salads and borage has starry blue flowers which can be floated in icecubes for a stylish touch in summer cocktails.
