Plant wallflowers

Invest in some colour for next year by visiting the garden centre to pick up bunches of bare-root wallflowers, available around now. Plant in striking blocks of scarlet, yellow or coppery orange, or go for a cheerful mix. Plant out as soon as you get home for a fabulous display next spring.
