Alyssum montanum 'Berggold'
Alyssum montanum 'Berggold' is a low-growing perennial producing clusters of bright yellow, sweetly scented flowers in late spring and early summer. The cheerful blooms create a vivid carpet of colour above soft grey-green foliage.
This variety forms a neat, spreading cushion that works particularly well in rock gardens, gravel planting, walls, banks and at the edges of containers. Its trailing habit allows the foliage and flowers to spill attractively over stones and raised edges.
Hardy, reliable and low maintenance, this perennial performs best in full sun in well-drained soil. Once established, it copes well with drier conditions and is particularly useful for sunny, free-draining planting schemes.
