Rhododendron 'Bloombux Magenta'
Rhododendron 'Bloombux Magenta' is a compact evergreen shrub with dense, small-leaved foliage and a naturally neat, rounded habit. Developed as a flowering alternative to box, it provides the same year-round structure while remaining unaffected by common box-specific pests and diseases.
In early summer, clusters of vivid magenta-pink flowers cover the foliage, creating a colourful display that is highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects. The plant responds well to clipping and can be shaped after flowering to create low hedges, edging or compact topiary.
Hardy and easy to maintain, 'Bloombux Magenta' grows well in full sun or partial shade and tolerates both acidic and neutral soil, provided it is moist, humus-rich and well drained. Its manageable size makes it ideal for borders, pathways, containers and formal planting schemes.
