Rhododendron 'Bloombux Magenta'
Rhododendron 'Bloombux Magenta' is a modern, innovative alternative to traditional boxwood, offering the same neat, compact form with the added value of vibrant flowers and improved resilience. Although it resembles Buxus in habit, Bloombux® is a rhododendron bred to be tolerant of pruning, easy to shape, and naturally resistant to boxwood pests and diseases. Its evergreen foliage forms a dense, rounded shrub ideal for low hedging, edging, or contemporary topiary.
In early summer, ‘Bloombux Magenta’ produces a mass of open pink-magenta flowers that attract bees and other pollinators, adding seasonal colour that boxwood cannot provide. Hardy, reliable, and low maintenance, it thrives in neutral to acidic soils and performs beautifully in borders or containers. A versatile structural plant with the bonus of floral impact.
