Primula Bonneli Series 'Flame'
Primula Bonneli Series 'Flame' is a compact, semi-evergreen perennial producing brilliant red flowers with bright yellow centres. The colourful single blooms sit above neat rosettes of textured dark green foliage, creating a bold, cheerful display during the cooler months.
An early-flowering selection from the Bonneli Series, 'Flame' brings welcome colour from winter into early spring. Its tidy, low-growing habit makes it ideal for patio pots, window boxes, seasonal bedding and border edges. Combine with violas, miniature daffodils and evergreen foliage for an attractive display near entrances or along paths.
Hardy and easy to grow, it prefers sun or partial shade in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil. Keep container compost evenly moist and remove faded flowers regularly to maintain a tidy display. After flowering, plants can be moved into a suitable garden border for future seasons.
