Primula Bonneli Series 'Blue'

Primula Bonneli Series 'Blue'

Primrose Bonneli Series 'Blue' is a compact primrose producing rich blue-violet flowers with bright yellow centres. The single blooms sit just above neat rosettes of dark green, textured foliage, creating a bold contrast that brings fresh colour to seasonal planting displays.

An early-flowering selection from the Bonneli Series, it can provide colour from late autumn through winter into early spring. Its tidy, low-growing habit suits patio pots, window boxes and border edges, where the flowers can be appreciated up close. Combine with cream primroses, violas and miniature daffodils for an attractive seasonal display.

Hardy and easy to grow, this evergreen perennial prefers full sun or partial shade in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil. Keep container compost evenly moist and remove faded flowers to maintain a tidy appearance. After flowering, plants can be moved into a suitable garden border for future seasons.
