Pinus strobus 'Blue Shag'
Pinus 'Blue Shag' is a compact dwarf evergreen conifer forming a dense, rounded mound of soft blue-green needles. The long, slender foliage gives the plant a fine texture and provides attractive year-round colour and structure.
Its naturally bushy habit makes 'Blue Shag' particularly well suited to smaller gardens, rock gardens, mixed borders and container planting. As plants mature, cylindrical cones may also develop, adding further ornamental interest.
Hardy, slow growing and easy to maintain, 'Blue Shag' performs best in full sun or partial shade in moist but well-drained soil. Its compact form and steady growth make it an excellent choice where a smaller architectural conifer is required.
