Lychnis coronaria 'Alba'
Lychnis coronaria 'Alba' is a striking herbaceous perennial producing masses of pure white flowers above soft, silvery-grey foliage. The clean white blooms contrast beautifully with the felted leaves and stems, creating a fresh, luminous effect in sunny planting schemes.
Flowering through summer, 'Alba' is ideal for cottage gardens, mixed borders and informal planting. Its softly textured foliage provides additional interest even when the plant is not in flower and combines particularly well with grasses and other sun-loving perennials.
Hardy, reliable and easy to grow, 'Alba' performs best in full sun in well-drained soil. It is low maintenance once established and has received the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
