Ribes uva-crispa Easycrisp® 'Lady Sun®'
Ribes uva-crispa Easycrisp® 'Lady Sun®' is a vigorous, upright gooseberry producing reliable crops of medium-sized, pale yellow fruit. The soft-skinned berries are beautifully veined and have an exceptionally juicy, sweet flavour, making them particularly enjoyable when eaten fresh.
Ripening from early July, this productive variety provides a delicious early to mid-season harvest. Its fruit is also excellent for adding to desserts, cakes and preserves, while the almost thornless stems make picking considerably easier and more comfortable.
Self-fertile, hardy and easy to grow, 'Lady Sun®' has very good tolerance to powdery mildew and performs best in full sun or partial shade. Plant it in fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil in fruit gardens, allotments, borders or large containers.
