Gooseberry 'Crispa® Goldling®'
Gooseberry 'Crispa® Goldling®' is a productive deciduous fruit bush prized for its exceptionally large, golden-yellow berries. Ripening from mid-July, the fruits are sweet, aromatic and very juicy, making them delicious eaten straight from the bush or used in pies, desserts and preserves.
Small spring flowers attract bees and other pollinating insects before developing into a generous summer crop. This self-fertile variety needs no pollination partner and combines strong, upright growth with good tolerance to gooseberry powdery mildew. Its stems bear thorns, so allow space around the bush for harvesting.
Hardy and easy to grow, 'Goldling®' is ideal for fruit gardens, allotments and large patio containers. Grow in full sun or partial shade in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Water regularly as the fruit swells and prune to maintain an open framework for healthy growth and easy picking.
