Gaura lindheimeri 'Summer Breeze'
Gaura lindheimeri 'Summer Breeze' is a robust, free-flowering perennial producing masses of delicate white flowers from pink buds. Each bloom is highlighted by fine pink filaments, creating a light, airy display above slender stems from summer well into autumn.
Selected by the respected Sarastro nursery in Austria, 'Summer Breeze' is noted for its sturdy growth and improved winter hardiness. Its long flowering season makes it particularly valuable in mixed borders and cottage-style planting, where the flowers move gently above neighbouring plants and continue until the first frosts.
Best grown in full sun in well-drained soil, this hardy perennial performs particularly well in a warm, sheltered position. Cut back lightly in autumn and allow the established crown to remain relatively undisturbed for the best long-term performance.
