Aster novi-belgii 'White Ladies'
Symphyotrichum novi-belgii 'White Ladies' is a clump-forming herbaceous perennial with narrow, lance-shaped dark green leaves held on stiff, upright and branching stems. Its structured habit brings useful height and fresh foliage to mixed perennial borders.
From late summer into mid-autumn, the plant produces abundant sprays of small, double white daisy-like flowers with soft yellow-green centres. These crisp blooms provide a bright late-season display when many other perennials are beginning to fade.
Hardy and easy to grow, 'White Ladies' performs best in full sun or partial shade and fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil. It is ideal for cottage gardens, perennial borders and cutting gardens, with the flowers making an elegant addition to seasonal arrangements.
