Sesleria heufleriana
Sesleria heufleriana is a compact, evergreen grass forming neat clumps of fine blue-green foliage. In early spring it produces slender, upright flower spikes that emerge soft silvery-green before ageing to dusky purple. Low maintenance and well-behaved, it brings year-round structure and subtle movement to borders and gravel schemes.
This resilient grass thrives in full sun or light shade and copes well with poor, well-drained soils, making it ideal for drought-tolerant and contemporary planting. Use it to edge paths, soften hard landscaping, or weave through naturalistic planting schemes for texture and contrast.
