Senecio herreianus - String of Beads
Senecio herreianus - String of Beads is a charming, trailing succulent with slender stems lined with small, bead-like leaves that resemble green pearls. More elongated than String of Pearls, it creates a cascading curtain of foliage, ideal for hanging pots and sunny shelves, or as a striking accent in mixed succulent displays.
This hardy, drought-tolerant plant thrives in bright indoor spaces and adds unique texture and form to modern interiors. When happy, it may produce small, fragrant, daisy-like white flowers, adding seasonal interest to its trailing vines.
- Other names: String of Watermelons, String of Raindrops, Gooseberry Plant
- Useful to know: Not safe for pets - toxic if ingested
- Eventual height: Trails up to 90cm
- Origins: Namibia and South Africa
