Rubus idaeus 'Twotimer® Sugana Yellow'
Raspberry 'Twotimer® Sugana Yellow' is a productive, double-cropping raspberry with large, pale yellow berries. The conical fruits have a mild, sweet flavour with gentle acidity, combining a firm texture with juicy flesh. Delicious eaten straight from the plant, they are also excellent for freezing, jams and desserts.
With suitable pruning, established plants produce a summer crop in June and July on the previous year's canes, followed by another harvest from August to September on new growth. Vigorous, upright canes with few side shoots make this self-fertile variety straightforward to grow and manage.
Hardy and reliable, 'Sugana Yellow' thrives in sun or partial shade with fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Support the canes and water during dry spells. For two crops, retain strong canes over winter, trim their fruited tips in February and remove them after their summer harvest.
