Rubus idaeus Primeberry® 'Zefa Nova®'
Rubus idaeus Primeberry® 'Zefa Nova®' is a heavy-cropping autumn raspberry producing very large, glossy red berries with a broad, conical shape. Their sweet, fruity flavour has a gentle balancing acidity, making them excellent for fresh eating, freezing, jams and desserts.
This primocane variety crops on first-year canes from early August to late September, providing a generous harvest as summer moves into autumn. Strong, vigorous growth forms upright, thorny canes, while its self-fertile nature means no pollination partner is needed.
Hardy and reliable, 'Zefa Nova®' is ideal for fruit gardens, allotments and supported rows. Grow in a sunny, sheltered position with fertile, moist but well-drained soil, watering during dry weather. For an autumn crop, cut all canes to ground level in February.
