Rubus idaeus Primeberry® 'Autumn Happy'
Raspberry Primeberry® 'Autumn Happy' is an exceptional autumn-fruiting raspberry, producing very large, dark red berries with a rich, aromatic flavour. Bred through the Lubera® and NIAB EMR breeding programme, this modern variety combines outstanding fruit quality with robust, reliable growth. Its upright, spineless canes make harvesting simple and enjoyable, while the fruit’s firm texture also makes it excellent for freezing.
This primocane variety begins cropping from early August and continues through to early October, offering one of the longest picking seasons of any raspberry. Strong, vigorous growth ensures many new canes each year, with plants forming a dense framework ideal for home gardeners or small-scale production. The berries are delicious eaten fresh, but also ideal for freezing, making jams, or using in desserts, ensuring a versatile harvest that can be enjoyed year-round.
