Rhododendron ludlowii 'Wren'
Rhododendron ludlowii 'Wren' is a delightful dwarf evergreen shrub with a naturally compact, low-growing habit. In spring, it becomes covered with soft creamy-yellow flowers that contrast beautifully with its glossy dark green foliage.
Its modest size and spreading growth make it particularly suitable for smaller gardens. It is ideal for rockeries, alpine beds, raised borders and containers, where its evergreen leaves provide colour and structure throughout the year.
Plant in a lightly sheltered position with sun or partial shade and acidic, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil. Hardy and reliable in suitable conditions, its spring flowers are also attractive to bees and other early pollinators.
