Rhododendron keleticum
Rhododendron keleticum is a charming dwarf evergreen shrub forming a compact, low-growing mound of glossy green foliage. In spring, clusters of rich purple flowers appear just above the leaves, creating a vibrant early-season display.
Its naturally spreading habit provides year-round structure while remaining low and manageable. This makes it particularly suitable for rockeries, alpine beds, containers, the front of borders and smaller gardens.
Plant in a sheltered position with sun or partial shade and acidic, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil. Hardy and reliable in suitable conditions, its colourful flowers are also attractive to bees and other pollinators.
