Rhododendron impeditum 'Moerheim'
Rhododendron impeditum 'Moerheim' is a compact dwarf evergreen shrub with a naturally neat, bushy habit. Its small, aromatic green leaves develop an attractive purple flush during colder weather, providing valuable winter colour.
In late spring, the plant becomes covered with masses of lilac to purple-blue flowers. The richly coloured blooms create a vivid display against the fine evergreen foliage and are attractive to bees and other pollinators.
Ideal for rockeries, alpine troughs, raised beds, containers and the front of smaller borders, 'Moerheim' grows best in sun or partial shade. Plant in acidic, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil and protect from cold, drying winds.
