Rhododendron dauricum 'April Snow'
Rhododendron dauricum 'April Snow' is a compact, early-flowering hybrid producing clusters of three to four lightly fragrant, double white flowers in mid-spring. The blooms may be tinged with pink and appear from late March into April, creating a soft contrast against the deep green foliage. This semi-evergreen shrub has a tidy, upright and broad growth habit, reaching around 1 metre tall. Its elliptic leaves develop a reddish-bronze hue in autumn. Best grown in moist but well-drained acidic soil in a sheltered, south- or west-facing position with sun or partial shade.
