Rhododendron dauricum 'April Reign'
Rhododendron dauricum 'April Reign' is a compact, upright hybrid that flowers in early to mid-spring with clusters of double light pink blooms, the centres of which are paler in colour. Blooming through April, it brings soft pastel charm to borders and beds. The shrub has a dense, rounded and compact growth habit, typically reaching around 1 metre tall. Its small, deep green, semi-evergreen leaves develop a reddish-bronze tint in autumn. Best grown in moist but well-drained, acidic soil in a sheltered, sunny or partially shaded position.
