Rubus idaeus 'Polka'®
Raspberry 'Polka'® is an early autumn-fruiting variety producing heavy crops of firm, dark red berries from August onwards with a stunningly sweet flavour. Compact in habit and highly productive, it is excellent for fresh eating and ideal for baking, jams, and freezing thanks to its rich taste and good texture.
Easy to grow and naturally disease resistant, ‘Polka’® performs reliably in a range of garden conditions and is well suited to smaller spaces or container growing. Its early autumn season helps extend the raspberry harvest well into the later months.

Raspberry Growing Tips
- Prefer being planted in sunny, sheltered locations, although they will tolerate partial shade.
- Thrive in moisture-retentive, fertile, slightly acidic soils which are well-drained.
- Tie in new canes to supports as they grow to keep plants upright and productive.
- Regular pruning will result in healthier plants with better-quality fruit.
- All varieties are self-fertile and are pollinated by insects.
- If you would like to eat the fruits yourself, don't forget to cover the plant to stop the birds getting them!
