Rubus idaeus 'Octavia'
Raspberry 'Octavia' is an August-fruiting variety that bridges the gap between summer- and autumn-fruiting raspberries, producing extremely high yields of large, bright red berries. The fruits have a delicious, sweet flavour and an excellent shelf life, making them perfect for eating fresh, cooking into desserts, making raspberry jams or gin, or freezing for later use.

Raspberry Growing Tips
- Prefer being planted in sunny, sheltered locations, although they will tolerate partial shade.
- Thrive in moisture-retentive, fertile, slightly acidic soils which are well-drained.
- Tie in new canes to supports as they grow to keep plants upright and productive.
- Regular pruning will result in healthier plants with better-quality fruit.
- All varieties are self-fertile and are pollinated by insects.
- If you would like to eat the fruits yourself, don't forget to cover the plant to stop the birds getting them!
