Rubus idaeus 'Cascade Delight'
Raspberry 'Cascade Delight' is a high-yielding summer-fruiting raspberry known for its exceptionally large, firm, and richly flavoured berries. A floricane variety, it produces heavy crops on last year’s canes from July to August, delivering long, conical fruit with an excellent balance of sweetness and acidity. Bred at Washington State University, it is valued for both reliability and superior fruit quality.
‘Cascade Delight’ forms strong, upright canes that are easy to manage and ideal for training along wires or supports. It shows good tolerance to root rot, performing well in heavier soils compared with many traditional varieties. The berries are superb for eating fresh but also hold their shape beautifully when frozen, and are excellent for jams, desserts, baking, and preserving. A top choice for gardeners seeking generous yields of premium summer raspberries.
