Rubus idaeus Primeberry® 'Autumn Belle®'
Raspberry Primeberry® 'Autumn Belle®' is an early-ripening autumn raspberry producing generous crops on the current season's growth. Its medium-strong, upright canes reach approximately 180cm tall and have a small number of noticeable spines.
The beautifully formed, pointed-conical berries ripen to an attractive dark red from early August until mid-September. Their pleasantly sweet, mildly aromatic flavour is balanced by a fresh acidity, creating a deliciously fruity taste for eating fresh or using in desserts, sauces and preserves.
Hardy, self-fertile and reliable, 'Autumn Belle®' performs best in a sunny, sheltered position with fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil. As a primocane raspberry, it is easy to prune by cutting all the old canes to ground level in February before new growth begins.
