Primula × pubescens - Garden Auricula
Primula × pubescens, commonly known as Garden Auricula, is a classic spring-flowering favourite admired for its velvety blooms and intricate colour patterns. Flowering in mid to late spring, each plant produces clusters of beautifully marked flowers in rich jewel tones.
Available in a range of colours including deep purple, burgundy, crimson, yellow, pink and bi-colour forms with contrasting centres, auriculas bring bold character to pots and alpine displays. They thrive in well-drained soil in a sheltered position away from harsh midday sun, making them ideal for containers, raised beds and traditional auricula theatres.
