Physostegia virginiana 'Alba'
Physostegia virginiana 'Alba' is an elegant upright perennial producing tall spikes of pure white, tubular flowers from July through to September. The pristine blooms rise above fresh green foliage, bringing height, structure and a bright, refined look to summer borders.
Ideal for cottage gardens and naturalistic planting schemes, this reliable perennial performs best in full sun or partial shade with free-draining soil. Its long-lasting flowers are highly attractive to bees and other pollinators, while the sturdy stems also make excellent cut flowers for indoor arrangements.
Easy to grow and hardy, 'Alba' forms neat clumps that return year after year, adding graceful vertical interest and late summer colour to mixed borders.
