Phlox douglasii 'Ice Mountain' is a low growing, spreading alpine perennial that produces a dazzling carpet of pure white flowers in late spring. The bright blooms almost completely cover the dense cushion of fine, needle-like evergreen foliage, creating a striking display in sunny garden spaces.
One of the finest white-flowered forms available, this compact variety is ideal for rockeries, alpine troughs, gravel gardens, retaining walls and containers. Its neat mat-forming habit quickly softens edges and provides excellent ground cover in well-drained soil.
