Penstemon 'Hidcote Pink'
Penstemon 'Hidcote Pink' is an attractive, clump-forming perennial producing slender spikes of rose-pink tubular flowers. Each bloom features a creamy-white throat delicately streaked with purple, while narrow grey-green foliage provides an elegant backdrop.
Flowering from midsummer into autumn, this floriferous variety brings lasting colour to mixed borders, cottage gardens and patio containers. The nectar-rich blooms attract bees and other pollinating insects, while the upright flower stems are excellent for cutting.
This award-winning penstemon grows best in full sun or partial shade and fertile, well-drained soil. Regular deadheading encourages further blooms, and a dry winter mulch offers useful protection in colder or more exposed gardens.
