Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Magic'
Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Magic' is a compact, clump-forming ornamental grass with slender green foliage that creates a soft, architectural effect in the garden. Its neat, bushy habit makes it a versatile choice for both contemporary and naturalistic planting schemes.
From July through to October, elegant bottlebrush-like flowerheads rise above the foliage, adding texture, height and movement to borders and containers. The long flowering period helps extend interest well into autumn.
Best grown in full sun, 'Magic' prefers well-drained soil with regular moisture during the growing season. Hardy to around -15°C, it is well suited to UK gardens and works particularly well in sunny borders, gravel gardens and patio containers.
