Molinia caerulea subsp. caerulea 'Moorhexe' is a compact, upright deciduous ornamental grass valued for its elegant habit and striking seasonal colour. Fresh grey-green foliage emerges in spring before being topped with airy, plum-coloured flower panicles that sway gracefully above the plant, bringing movement and texture to borders throughout summer.
As autumn arrives, the foliage transforms into rich orange-yellow tones, extending the season of interest before dying back for winter. Ideal for prairie-style planting, mixed borders or naturalistic gardens, 'Moorhexe' provides an excellent vertical accent while remaining neat and compact.
