Mimosa pudica is a fascinating and interactive houseplant best known for its sensitive leaves that fold inward and droop when touched, shaken, or exposed to sudden movement—earning it the popular name Sensitive Plant. The delicate, fern-like foliage is complemented by fluffy pink pom-pom flowers, adding charm and curiosity to any indoor collection.

Mimosa Care Sheet
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Can tolerate some gentle morning sun but avoid harsh midday rays.
Water: Keep soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Reduce watering in winter.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a light, well-draining potting mix. Feed every 4–6 weeks during the growing season with diluted fertiliser.
Humidity: Thrives in warm, humid conditions. Mist occasionally or place near a humidifier.
Pruning & Propagation: Trim back leggy growth to encourage bushiness. Propagates easily from seed.
