Mahonia 'Soft Caress'℗ is an award-winning evergreen shrub with a refined appearance and exceptionally soft, elegant foliage. Its long, slender, spine-free leaves form an airy, tropical-looking mound, making it ideal for planting beside paths, patios and seating areas.
Winner of the RHS Chelsea Plant of the Year 2013, 'Soft Caress'℗ produces upright spires of fragrant yellow flowers from late summer into autumn. These nectar-rich blooms are highly attractive to bees and other pollinating insects and are followed by decorative blue-black berries.
Compact, versatile and easy to grow, this distinctive Mahonia thrives in partial shade and moist, well-drained soil. It is an excellent choice for shaded borders, woodland-style planting and patio containers, providing year-round structure and seasonal colour.
