Mahonia 'Soft Caress'℗ is an award-winning evergreen shrub with a unique, refined appearance and soft, elegant foliage unlike any other Mahonia. Winner of the prestigious RHS Chelsea Plant of the Year 2013, it features long, slender, spine-free leaves that form an airy, tropical-looking mound — gentle to the touch and perfect for planting near paths or seating areas.
From late summer through autumn, ‘Soft Caress’ produces upright spires of fragrant yellow flowers that attract pollinators, followed by clusters of decorative blue-black berries. Compact and versatile, it thrives in partial shade and moist, well-drained soil, performing beautifully in borders, woodland gardens, or containers.
