Lychnis coronaria
Lychnis coronaria is a striking cottage garden perennial valued for its vivid pink flowers and distinctive silvery-grey foliage. The soft, felted leaves and pale stems create a beautiful contrast with the bright, almost luminous blooms.
Flowering freely throughout summer, Rose Campion adds lasting colour and texture to borders, gravel gardens and wildlife-friendly planting schemes. Its nectar-rich flowers are also attractive to bees and other pollinating insects.
Easy to grow and drought tolerant once established, Lychnis coronaria performs best in full sun and well-drained soil. Its relaxed habit makes it particularly effective in cottage gardens and naturalistic planting, where it may gently self-seed.
