Lonicera periclymenum 'Sweet Sue'
Honeysuckle 'Sweet Sue' is a charming deciduous climber producing clusters of highly fragrant, white tubular flowers from early summer into autumn. The sweetly scented blooms stand out beautifully against fresh green foliage and bring fragrance and colour to vertical planting schemes.
Flowering from June to September, 'Sweet Sue' is particularly valuable for bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects. Ornamental red berries may follow the flowers in autumn, providing further seasonal interest once the main flowering display begins to fade.
This vigorous climber is ideal for training over pergolas, trellises, arches and walls, where it can quickly provide height and coverage. It grows best in full sun or partial shade in moist but well-drained soil and benefits from having its roots kept cool and sheltered.
