Jasminum nudiflorum
Jasminum nudiflorum is a hardy deciduous shrub valued for its cheerful winter flowers and long, arching green stems. From January to March, bright yellow, unscented blooms appear along the bare branches, bringing welcome colour to the garden before most spring-flowering shrubs begin their display.
Its flexible stems can be trained against a wall or trellis, tied into supports to create an attractive framework. Alternatively, allow them to cascade over low walls or spread across banks. Small green leaves emerge in spring, providing a soft backdrop through summer.
