Lonicera 'Fire Cracker'
Lonicera 'Fire Cracker' is a striking deciduous honeysuckle combining intensely glaucous, grey-green perfoliate leaves with vibrant red tubular flowers. Blooming from April to June, the flowers feature protruding yellow anthers that stand out beautifully against the foliage. In autumn, bright red berries provide a second season of colour and attract garden birds.
Its upper leaves fuse around the stem to form rounded discs, giving the plant a unique architectural quality. Hardy and low maintenance, 'Fire Cracker' thrives in any well-drained soil and tolerates a wide range of aspects, from full sun to an east-facing fence.
