Ligularia dentata 'Desdemona' is a bold and dramatic perennial prized for its large richly coloured foliage and vibrant late summer flowers. The rounded leaves emerge deep beet-red in spring before maturing to greenish-bronze above with striking purple undersides, all carried on dark purple stems.
In late summer, clusters of golden-yellow daisy-like flowers rise just above the foliage, creating a vivid contrast against the dark leaves.
