Leucothoe fontanesiana 'Little Flames' is a compact evergreen shrub prized for its brilliant seasonal foliage colour and naturally tidy form. Glossy new leaves emerge in vivid flame-red shades before gradually maturing to deep green.
The changing foliage creates attractive contrast throughout the year, while its dense, bushy habit gives useful structure to smaller planting spaces. Its compact size makes it particularly effective at the front of borders and in mixed container displays.
Easy to grow and low maintenance, 'Little Flames' is ideal for borders, patio pots and low informal hedging. It performs best in moist but well-drained, acidic soil in partial shade or gentle sun.
