Lavandula × intermedia 'Phenomenal'
Lavandula × intermedia 'Phenomenal' is a hardy evergreen lavender with narrow, silvery-green foliage and a neat, mounding habit. Large, fragrant purple-blue flower spikes rise on strong, upright stems from early summer into autumn, bringing colour and movement to sunny planting schemes.
Highly fragrant and attractive to bees and butterflies, 'Phenomenal' is ideal for borders, gravel gardens, low hedges and spacious patio containers. Plant it beside paths or seating areas to enjoy its scent, or cut the flowers for fresh and dried arrangements.
Noted for its tolerance of heat, humidity and cold, this reliable variety thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, tolerating drought once established. Remove faded flowers to encourage further blooms, and lightly trim after flowering in late summer to maintain a tidy shape, avoiding cuts into old woody growth.
