Hosta 'Blue Mammoth'
Hosta 'Blue Mammoth' is an impressive, large-growing perennial prized for its enormous, deeply textured blue-green leaves. Its substantial, mounded habit creates a bold architectural feature and brings cooling colour to shaded areas of the garden.
Tall stems of near-white, bell-shaped flowers rise above the foliage during summer, adding elegance and attracting bees and other pollinating insects. The broad leaves maintain their strongest blue colouring when protected from intense sunlight.
Ideal for woodland gardens, shaded borders and planting beneath trees or shrubs, 'Blue Mammoth' performs best in fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil. Allow plenty of room for this magnificent Hosta to develop into a broad, dramatic clump.
