Heuchera 'Melting Fire'
Heuchera 'Melting Fire' is a colourful perennial forming a compact mound of rounded, deeply ruffled leaves in rich red-purple shades. The deeper red undersides add another layer of colour, while the textured foliage creates an attractive contrast with green, silver and golden-leaved plants.
From late spring into early summer, slender, wiry stems carry airy sprays of small white, bell-shaped flowers above the foliage. These delicate blooms soften the bold leaves, bringing lightness to containers and mixed borders. Evergreen to semi-evergreen, this variety provides a long season of foliage interest, including useful winter colour in sheltered positions.
Hardy and easy to grow, 'Melting Fire' is ideal for patio pots, border edging and planting beneath shrubs. Grow in partial shade or sun with fertile, moist but well-drained soil. It tolerates dry periods once established, although regular watering during prolonged dry weather helps keep the foliage looking its best.
