Geum 'Savanna Sunset'
Geum 'Savanna Sunset' is a compact, clump-forming perennial producing semi-double, lightly frilled flowers from late spring into summer. Coppery-red buds open to soft pale apricot blooms with deeper coppery-orange centres, creating a beautifully warm display.
The flowers are carried on contrasting reddish-brown stems above a spreading mound of fresh green, toothed and lobed foliage. Its soft colouring makes it ideal for cottage gardens, mixed borders and underplanting roses, where it combines easily with both pastel and stronger flower shades.
Hardy and easy to grow, 'Savanna Sunset' thrives in full sun or light shade and fertile, well-drained soil. It is also well suited to patio containers, while cutting back faded flower stems encourages further blooms during the growing season.
