Euonymus alatus is a striking deciduous shrub best known for its spectacular autumn colour. The rich green summer foliage transforms into brilliant shades of scarlet, crimson and pink as the season progresses, creating an outstanding display in the garden.

Its distinctive corky, winged stems provide additional architectural interest once the leaves have fallen, giving the plant value well into winter.
