Euonymus alatus is a spectacular deciduous shrub famed for its fiery crimson to pink autumn foliage. Euonymus alatus, or winged spindle, forms a dense, spreading shape with distinctive corky winged stems that add winter interest. Throughout the year it provides rich green foliage and subtle summer flowers, but it truly shines in autumn when the leaves turn brilliant shades of scarlet and crimson.
