Eryngium planum
Eryngium planum is a striking, clump-forming perennial with steel-blue stems and spiky cone-shaped flowerheads surrounded by a ruff of bracts. Flowering from midsummer into early autumn, it adds bold structure to borders and is especially attractive to bees and butterflies. Drought tolerant and great for gravel or prairie-style planting.
