Erica × darleyensis 'Silberschmelze'
Erica × darleyensis 'Silberschmelze' is a compact evergreen heather producing masses of pure white, bell-shaped flowers from midwinter into spring. The bright blooms create a striking contrast against the fine dark green foliage, bringing valuable colour to the garden during the colder months.
This variety forms a low, spreading mound that provides useful year-round structure and excellent groundcover. Its neat habit makes it ideal for edging paths, rock gardens, border fronts and containers, and it is particularly effective when planted in groups or drifts.
Hardy, reliable and low maintenance, this heather performs well in sun or partial shade in a wide range of well-drained soils. Light pruning after flowering will help maintain a compact, bushy shape and encourage dense new growth.
